Rapid eComjini IDEAS Labs: Align, Ideate, Sketch

The insights taken from the research become our north star of ideation. We conduct rapid labs ranging from 1-3 day durations to explore many ideas and directions.

Align: We start by bringing the dispersed team together involving business, strategy, UX, design, tech and development stakeholders. The team collaboratively analyses the observations and synthesises it in order to define the core opportunity and pain points that has been identified up to this point.

Ideate: Teams break out into groups with the the facilitator encouraging everyone to challenge their assumptions based on gaps and opportunities revealed. Members can use various techniques to stimulate free thinking. All ideas are welcome during this activity. There are no bad ideas.

Teams or individuals will present and share their list of ideas and provide relevant discussion, commentary and context for each of the ideas.

Sketch: This is the convergent phase of the process. The teams will get more specific with the features, functionality and user interactions. They will be time boxed and will use available whiteboards, paper prototyping tools or flip-charts to define the proposed of the solution.

The group discusses pros and cons of presented solutions and key stakeholders refining the idea to be prototyped and for ultimate implementation.

Evolve: Prototype & Test

Prototyping brings the solutions into actionable vision.

With the best solution vision chosen, we’ll design wireframes and mockups that will bring the solution to life across different screens and devices.
